May Neighborhood Real Estate Update




Kim Dales has provided this neighborhood real estate activity report for the month of May:




May was very very quiet in Laurelhurst, but it is definitely a seller's market in our neighborhood and across Seattle. 

Here is some information:
  • active listings in our neighborhood were down 83% from May of 2019
  • 24 active listings May 2019 compared to only 7 last month, 3 of these went under contract within 18 days of the market
  • average days on market were slightly higher this year: 59 vs 30 last year
  • median sales price was down $95,000 from May 2019
  • median home prices were up 4.8% from May 2019 in Seattle, despite low inventory
  • 46.9% of homes sold for over their original listing price in Seattle
