See Grid Drawing Of Nearby Busy Intersection

A neighbor would like to share about a drawing he came across that lists famous intersections in Seattle, in which intersections are drawn as grids.

The intersection at Mary Gates Drive, NE 45th Street, Union Bay and Sand Point Way, often called "Five Points" is included in the book as a drawing.

"In his map of Seattle, Peter Gorman takes Seattle’s most complex intersections and distills them down to abstract icons," the website says.

Gorman says about his maps:
I had the idea to base the map around that fact, that nothing seems to make sense in the city's layout. I did some research on the most infamous intersections, and then really liked the way they looked in abstract. It seemed to click. I think Seattle's layout is uniquely wacky. I can't think of any other city that compares.
