The UW Botanic Gardens’ Center for Urban Horticulture (3501 NE 41st Street) is holding a couple of pruning classes this week as part of their yearly Master Pruner Series:
THURSDAY 9:30 – 11:30AM Cost: $35
This class covers pruning and management of some of our most common ornamental vines: wisteria, common varieties of clematis, Boston ivy/Virginia creeper, honeysuckle, and trumpet vine.
This lecture series is designed for those who work in landscape maintenance. Classes last two hours and are held on every other Thursday. Each lecture provides information on tools and techniques for quality pruning with better long-term results and customer satisfaction.

Learn the basics of fruit tree pruning. Covers apple, cherry, plum, and pear trees.
