Registration is underway for various Fall tot classes at the Laurelhurst Community Center. 

Register online, in-person at the Community Center Monday through Friday 9-2pm or by calling 684-7529.

FUN FOOD FOR LITTLE CHEFS       

Ages 3-6 with 1 adult buddy

Let's make healthy food fun! You and your child will have a creative start to your week with this class that turns lunch time into art time. Adults and kids alike will have a blast getting their hands dirty while making a nutritious meal into a playful work of art. Activities include designing from-scratch ‘pizza faces’, painting with fruit and vegetable dyes, fresh bread sculptures, fun easy snacks, and much much more! Class price includes 2 skilled instructors, all supplies needed, and delicious, nutritious snacks! Accommodations for dietary restrictions made upon request. An adult must accompany the child.

No class 11/12 and 11/19.

UK PETITE SOCCER   

Ages 2-5

Our unique “games based” approach to teaching soccer provides every child the opportunity to develop motor skills, social skills, coordination and general athletic ability, in a fun learning environment. Classes will be led by the professional UK Elite Coaching Staff. No class 11/22.

MUSIC FOR TOTS-A PARENT-CHILD MUSIC PROGRAM   

Ages 6 Months-4 Years

Miss Charlotte’s ever-popular Music for Tots enters its sixth year at Laurelhurst Community Center. Let your little ones learn music the easy/fun way, and release your own inner diva at the same time! Based on the idea that music is a language, children ages 6 months through 4 years will have the opportunity to learn basic musical skills while playing, moving, and interacting with each other and their parents. Grown-ups wear comfortable clothing and come prepared to move and sing!. Siblings up to 6 months of age can attend free. Created and taught by Award-Winning children’s musical artist, Miss Charlotte. A seasonal CD and songbook is included in cost of class.

INDOOR NERF SOCCER LEAGUE       

Ages 4-5

Get ready for some fun! Gather your friends to play in our co-ed indoor Nerf soccer league. Kids can be placed on teams as single players or teams can be formed by coaches. Registration packets are available at the community center and must be filled-out in person. Maximum of 10 players per team. Teams practice Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening, one time per week, beginning the week of 9/17. Games are on Friday evenings, from 9/28 through 11/2. No games Friday, 10/26 due to School Carnival.

PEE WEE BASKETBALL       

Ages 4-7

This league is a great way to introduce our young players to basketball in a non-competitive atmosphere where playing, learning, and having fun are most important. Participants are divided into teams by age groups. Volunteer coaches encourage the basics of the sport and team work. Each participant receives a team t-shirt. Practice and game times vary and are played on Saturdays at Laurelhurst Elementary School gym. If you are interested in coaching, please call the community center at 206-684-7529. No class on 11/10.Play and practice times to be determined.
