New Hospital Building Name And Roof Painting Work This Week

On Sept. 18 and Sept. 19, crews will add paint striping on the rooftop of the Friends of Costco Building (also known as Forest A), which will create some odor. Fans will be used to help dissipate the smell. This work will occur from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For questions email construction@seattlechildrens.org or call 206-987-8000.

Forest A, also known as "Building Hope" opened in April of 2013. The eight story building added 330,000 square feet of space and includes a new emergency department as well as the annex for cancer and critical care patients.

The building name was changed in July to "Friends of Costco," which has raised $125 million for uncompensated care at Children's Hospital.

Friends of Costco, which consists of Seattle Children's Friends of Costco Guild and Costco Wholesale Corporation, has supported the hospital since 1988.
