The Seattle Bicycle Advisory Board is seeking additional members. Applications are due by July 4th to Serena.Lehman@seattle.gov.
The volunteer board advises the City on the concerns and needs of the bicycling community. It was created by the Seattle City Council in 1977 and plays an influential role in implementing Seattle’s Bicycle Master Plan.
The board advises the Mayor and City Council, participates in planning and project development, evaluates policies and makes recommendations to all city departments including the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT).
Current members represent all types of bicyclists and skill levels, from casual weekend riders to year-round commuters. Board members serve a two-year term.
