Public Invited To Meeting To Consider Nominations Of Two UW Buildings As Landmarks

Landmarks Preservation Board to consider nomination of two University of Washington facilities for landmark status

Seattle’s Landmarks Preservation Board will consider the nominations of two buildings on the University of Washington campus on Wednesday, March 7. The structures are Mackenzie Hall at 4215 E Stevens Way NE and the Canoe House at 3655 Walla Walla Road NE. The meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. in Seattle City Hall (600 4th Avenue, Floor L2) in the Boards & Commissions Room L2-80.
The public is invited to attend the meeting and make comments on either nomination. Written comments should be received by the Landmarks Preservation Board at the following mailing address by 3:00 p.m. on March 6:

Copies of the Landmark Nominations are available for public review at the University Branch Library (5009 Roosevelt Way NE) and at the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods office in Seattle City Hall, 600 4th Avenue, 4th Floor (206-684-0228). They are also posted on Seattle Department of Neighborhoods website under the heading of “Current Nominations.”
