Several Laurelhurst residents will be performing in the Northwest Boychoir's annual "Festival of Lessons and Carols" concert series from December 9-22nd, with the final performance at Benaroya Hall.
The neighborhood choir members include Aidan Su, an 8th grader at
Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences, who previously attended Villa Academy. Aidan began singing in the 3rd grade when a Villa friend recommended he try out in the boychoir. Aidan also enjoys playing jazz music on the French Horn.
Anders Pohlmann, a 9th grader at University Prep, also from Laurelhurst, started singing with Northwest Boychoir at eight years old. He learned about the choir when he attended a performance of Lessons and Carols. This will be his 5th year singing in this concert series.
And Joe Miller, another Laurelhurst choir member, is a 9th grader at Lakeside School.

Patterned after the Christmas Eve observance at King’s College in Cambridge, England, A Festival of Lessons & Carols classical performance consists of nine holiday readings, each followed by a traditional carol performed by the choir, and another carol sung by the choir and audience.
The concerts run December 9-22 at various venues throughout the Puget Sound Region, with the final performance at Benaroya Hall.
