Registration Underway For Community Center Preschool Program Potentially Starting On Monday

The Laurelhurst Community Center is offering a Pre-K program Monday through Friday mornings only, for ages 3 1/2 to 5 years old, starting next week if enough students are enrolled.

Cara, Community Center Recreation Coordinator, told the Laurelhurst Blog Staff, that currently there is low enrollment for the program.  If the current minimum enrollment is not met, the start date will be postponed and will then be determined  on registration numbers.  If registration does not pick up, the program will be cancelled.  Families will receive communication upon registration to decide if that will work with their schedules.

PRE-K ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

This recreational program, with instructor, Phillip Tomaschke, offers a flexible schedule to choose from. Join us for a variety of fun activities such as art, science, cooking, tumbling, sports, music, dance, seasonal activities, and more. Enrichment activities are developed to create learning experiences and social experiences through play, projects, and activities.
This program runs on the school district calendar and is closed for holidays and school breaks. Fees are based on the number of program days in the school year calendar and averaged out over the 10-month school year. Phillip has been teaching the pre-K program since last September 2016 and previously worked for 2 years for Seattle Public Elementary School's childcare, LASER. Phillip is pursuing a degree in Biology with an emphasis in teaching.
No program on 11/11, 11/23, and 11/24
