UW Botanic Gardens’ Center for Urban Horticulture (3501 NE 41st Street) is holding a class called "Mixed Media Watercolor Painting" tomorrow from 11-2:30pm. The cost is $95.
The information says:
Attendees will create a 5 x 7 mixed media/watercolor painting with non-toxic and naturally pigmented watercolors, botanical and collage elements, such as leaves, pressed flowers, seeds and paper on Aqua Board, a unique, textured surface adhered to Masonite and allows layering and removal of color.
Each student will take home supplies, including an extra aqua board for another creation. Feel free to bring botanical elements and/or papers.
Instructor Vicki Basta has been an artist for over 20 years and loves collecting and photographing botanicals, bark, branches, stones, papers and rusted items to create mixed media art, earth art and collage/botanical and jewelry.
