The Thalia Symphony Orchestra, one of the oldest community orchestras in Seattle, is performing Mendelssohn’s Italian Symphony at St. Stephens Church (4805 NE 45th Street) tonight at 8pm.
A member of the Orchestra, principal Cello, sent this information:
Thalia Symphony Orchestra performs the music of Mendelssohn, Villa-Lobos and Nielsen Featuring pianist Geisa Dutra.
We are excited to perform again at the St. Stephens, the venue the symphony enjoys very much and where most of our season this year has been performed. We were formerly at Town Hall.
Since we will be your friendly neighborhood orchestra for the foreseeable future, we'd love to invite the community to come hear a full orchestra and exciting soloists without heading downtown or hassling with paid parking. The concert will be fun and engaging, and we'd love to see neighbors there
We are offering two free tickets to tonight's concert and will leave them at Will Call. Please email laurelhurstblogger@gmail.com and we will provide more information if you are the winner.
