Resident Witnesses Male Trying To Open Front Door Of Neighbor's House

On the  morning of December 24th, around 6:30 am on the 3600 block of NE 43rd Street, my son was getting ready to leave for the airport. 

He heard someone on out front steps., looked out and saw nothing. He looked over to neighbors home and light skinned black man was trying to open the door of neighbor, then tried another home. The man was in hi mid twenties, light skinned black and was wearing a black coat, black backpack and a black hat with ear flaps.

My son tried to confront him and chased him, but he got away. My son also attempted to call the police several times, while driving to airport after the encounter with the prowler, but the non-emergency police line did not answer the phone.
