The annual Laurelhurst Elementary School Ice-cream Social and Carnival is happening tomorrow from 5-8 pm in the school cafeteria and South playground.
Karina, the PTA event coordinator told the Laurelhurst Blog Staff:
I'd like to invite the neighborhood and surrounding community to our annual Laurelhurst Elementary Ice Cream Social. It is a fun and memorable tradition at Laurelhurst and our last fundraiser for the year. All are welcome, so invite your neighbors, friends and family!
Like every year, we will feature the best Ice Cream Sundaes and toppings bar (provided by QFC Wedgwood). We will also serve up fresh organic peaches, nectarines and berry toppings provided by Farmigo (non-dairy option available).
There will also be pony rides, carnival games, face painting, awesome splash games, like Beat the Bucket, and Splash Blast - (bring a towel) and other games. Top Pot Doughnuts is supplying the donuts for the Donut Dance.
New this year, Alpha Martial Arts will perform karate demonstrations at 6pm.
Dante's Inferno Dogs will have a hotdog cart providing dinner for purchase with 10% of all proceeds benefiting the school. Ezell's Famous Fried Chicken Express Truck will also be on site so there will be plenty of dining options, without the long wait.
This fun community-wide event is open to the public, so come on down, meet your neighbors, and support your local public school!
