Master Pruning Series This Month At Center For Urban Horticulture

UW Botanic Gardens’ Center for Urban Horticulture (3501 NE 41st Street)  is offering "Master Pruner Series" classes this week for landscape professionals.  Each 2 hour lecture is $30.

Sasha, Educational Assistant for CUH said about the classes:
The series is primarily designed for people who work in landscape maintenance, design, or other horticultural professions. However, we have had non-professionals such as Master Gardeners, and experienced home gardeners attend with no problem. It contains more advanced materials.

Here are the classes:

January 14, 9:30am – Tree Pruning I
January 14, 12:30pm – Rose Pruning
January 28, 9:30am – Tree Pruning II
January 28, 12:30pm – Fruit Tree Pruning
Each lecture provides information on tools and techniques for quality pruning with better long-term results and customer satisfaction.

Monday, January 25, 9am – 4pm and Tuesday, January 26, 9am – 4pm
This symposium will look at the intent and details of vegetation regulations from regional agencies and jurisdictions, plant selection guidelines, installation and maintenance standards and practices, and the critical specifications and design approaches to foster successful implementation and longevity.
Cost: $150 (2 day registration) Discounts available for student, WCC or single-day attendance.
