In comparing August 2014 to August 2015 it appears that the Laurelhurst market has cooled
down a bit. We did have a similar number of pending sales with a few less solds in 2014 versus 2015 but the biggest and most surprising difference was in the average sales price: $1,198,000 in August of 2014 and $828,333 in August of 2015.
My tip of the month is Carbon Monoxide monitors. Washington State Law (RCW
19.27.530) requires carbon monoxide monitors to be installed in all new homes, single-family residences, condos & apartments. They need to be installed outside bedrooms and on every floor. Carbon Monoxide is a colorless, odorless and very deadly chemical so if you don't have these in your home please put this on your to do list. They can be plugged in an outlet or screwed into the wall , a duel fire detection and CO monitor can also be purchased.
