The Seattle Public Library’s summer reading program for adults, called Book Bingo, is underway and runs through September 8th.
The closest library to sign up is the Northeast Branch at 6801 35th Avenue NE.
The information says:
The Seattle Public Library is partnering with Seattle Arts & Lectures (SAL) to invite Seattle readers to expand their reading selections with the first-ever Summer Book Bingo.
Pick up a Book Bingo card from any location of The Seattle Public Library or print one here. Fill in the card with titles of the books you read all summer long. When you’ve marked out an entire row or all 25 squares, bring the completed Book Bingo card to any Library location or mail it to Seattle Arts & Lectures, 205 S. Findlay St., Seattle, WA 98108. You also can enter by posting a photo of your completed card using #BookBingoNW via Instagram (@seattleartsandlectures @seattlepubliclibrary) or Twitter (@SeaArtsLectures @SPLBuzz). Entries must be received by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Participants will be entered in the drawing for our grand prize: a library of books by 2015-16 SAL authors and two All SAL Passes for the 2015-16 season. Complete a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line to be entered into a drawing to win a $30 gift card from one of 10 independent bookstores. Winning entries will be selected at random.
Prizes may be collected at the Library location of your choice. Prizes include gift cards to Ada’s Technical Books, Elliott Bay Book Co., Magnolia’s Bookstore, Open Books: A Poem Emporium, Phinney Books, Queen Anne Book Co., Secret Garden Books, Third Place Books, University Book Store and Wide World Books & Maps.
For custom-crafted recommendations, visit a Library branch or fill out a brief form at spl.org/yournext5. One of Seattle’s expert librarians will recommend a personalized list of five books.
