Hear About Updated SR520 West Side Design Concepts Tonight

WSDOT is holding an open house today from 4:30-7pm at Montlake Community Center  (1618 E. Calhoun Street) to talk about the latest design features of the west side portion of SR520.

The information says:
Please join us at our public meeting today to learn more about updated design concepts for SR 520 improvements in the Seattle area. In 2012, the Seattle Community Design Process resulted in a series of well-supported refinements to west side elements.
This summer, design professionals have been working hard to address key topics that remained. Staff with the Washington State Department of Transportation and the city of Seattle will be on hand to share the latest design renderings, answer your questions, and hear your feedback.
You can also chat with staff about construction progress across the SR 520 corridor, including Eastside and floating bridge construction, upcoming West Approach Bridge North construction, and various mitigation projects.

At the meeting, you can learn about the overall corridor vision and refined design features of the:
• New Portage Bay Bridge (such as bridge type and options for a bicycle/pedestrian path)
• New Montlake lid (such as functionality and multimodal connectivity)
• Nonmotorized connections on and around the corridor in Seattle
