Power Outage Today Again In Parts Of Laurelhurst And Bus Re-Route

A resident living in the affected area of the neighborhood with lengthy power outages due to City Light work would like to remind the neighborhood that today power again will be out during the day.

The neighbor wrote:
I think it might be a good idea to add a reminder for those of us in the region that will be experiencing the all-day power outage on Tuesdays.
We forgot last Tuesday, and are still trying to repair damages done to our Internet system.

Power will be out to about 250 homes for at least eight hours starting at 9am today as Seattle City Light works on a major electrical system rebuild, including a full replacement of cables, transformers, junction boxes (protective connections for cables) and connectors on an aging underground electric cable installed in the 1940s.

Residents affected are bordered by NE 46th Street on the north, NE 42rd Street on the south, 55th Avenue NE on the east and 51st Avenue NE on the west.

Last Tuesday, residents reported power out starting at 9:05am and finally restored at 7pm.

For more information about the outage go here.

And for detailed information about same day restoration  go here.

Also today, Route 25 will be rerouted in the Laurelhurst neighborhood due to the Seattle City Light work between 9-3pm.

During this time, Route 25 in both directions to Children’s Hospital and to downtown Seattle will travel instead via 50th Avenue NE and NE 41st St and then on to its regular route serving all regular and temporary posted stops along the reroute.
