"Visit Walden Pont" Storytime at Center For Urban Horticulture's Miller Library Saturday

Miller Library at the Center for Urban Horticulture (3501 NE 41st Street) is holding its monthly children's storytime tomorrow from 10:30-11:15am.
The theme is Visit Walden Pond"

The information says:


Henry David Thoreau's thinking laid the groundwork for environmental preservation efforts in the United States and around the globe. Let's travel back in time for a child's-eye view of the man, his time, and his experiments in simpler living. After the stories, come to the program room to look at maps and plan an urban walk with your family.

Books to be read are:
HENRY DAVID'S HOUSE by Henry David Thoreau; Steven Schnur, editor
HENRY HIKES TO FITCHBURG by D.B. Johnson
IF YOU SPENT A DAY WITH THOREAU AT WALDEN POND by Robert Burleigh

The monthly storytimes "celebrate gardens, plants, and nature" for children ages 3 to 8 and their families. All ages are welcome.
