Rewarding Summer Jobs For Teens Now Accepting Applications

Teens In Public Service, (TIPS ), a Seattle-based nonprofit located in Laurelhurst, is taking applications for its 2014 summer program.

TIPS works to help teens, between ages 15 to 19 years old, who want to give back to their community, find work at various non-profit organizations throughout the Greater Puget Sound Region.
Teens who are leaders in their high schools and are committed to becoming a part of their community through service and volunteerism  are invited to apply.

TIPS, now in its 18th year, was founded by a local family, who wanted to create more rewarding job opportunities for teens by matching their talents and interests with the needs of local non-profits.  Teens  earn minimum wage.

Some past jobs were organizing a talent show for children with special needs, comforting a 75 year-old woman as struggling with Alzheimer’s and providing a meal to a homeless man. Seattle.
To apply go here or call 206-985-4647. Applications are due today.
