Home on 48th Avenue NE on stilts
We have received many emails asking why the house on the 4700 block of 48th Avenue NE is way up on stilts.
Many neighbors have speculated over the last month or so - are they adding a 1st floor, are they putting in a basement, is it going to stay way up high forever?
The owners told us that they are adding a basement to their 1940's house. The 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house will be up for another week or two, depending on the weather, before being lowered on to the new basement, the owner added.
