Seattle Opera Preview Lecture: 'The Daughter of the Regiment'

The Northeast Branch of the Seattle Public Library (6801 35th Avenue NE) is having a free preview lecture of Seattle Opera's upcoming production of Donizetti's "The Daughter of the Regiment tomorrow night from 6:30-7:30pm.

The information says:

Seattle Opera educators will present an hour-long, engaging multimedia lecture that covers the basics of the opera's history, music and stagecraft.

Donizetti's lively and graceful comedy sparkles with high notes as two young lovers break down social barriers between polite society and the military. The score includes exhilarating showcase arias, ensemble pieces and a healthy dose of musical parody.
