The NE Seattle Tool Library (2415 NE 80th Street) is having its first annual garage sale/ fund-raiser
on Saturday from 9-3pm.
The information says:
Community members are invited to set up a table and sell stuff, with a percentage of the proceeds going to support the library.
If you have usable items to donate to the sale, please let NE Seattle Tool Library know.
The NE Seattle Tool
Library, is a community-led project to provide free access to a wide
range of tools, training, and resources including advice.
By provding this unique service of actually reserving a tool and checking it out to use for a specified amount of time, the Tool Library aims to inspire its community to participate in community projects, such as park restorations, and pursue sustainability through fun projects like backyard gardens, home energy improvements, and waterr harvesting.
Anyone over 18 is welcome to use The NE Seattle Tool Library, whether you live in NE Seattle or anywhere else in the region. Members are just required to fill out a membership application and a liability waiver as well as present two forms of ID to Tool Library staff. Membership is $40 yearly or whatever one can afford, but it is not mandatory.
The NE Seattle Tool Library is
a project of Sustainable NE Seattle and is supported by a grant from the
Cleanscapes Waste Reduction Award
Program, the generosity of the building’s owner, North Seattle Friends
Church, and
technical advice and support from the great folks at West Seattle Tool
Library.
