Special Meeting Tonight To Discuss Safety Concerns On NE 75th Street

The Ravenna-Bryant Community Association (RBCA) is holding its monthly meeting tonight and on the agenda will be safety concerns along NE 75th Street following the recent pedestrians fatalities and mother and child critically injured last Monday.

The following people will be in attendance to discuss the issue and take questions:
  • Council Member Tom Rasmussen
  • Eileen Whalen, Executive Director of Harborview Medical Center
  • Beth Ebel, Director of the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center
  • North Precinct Captain Robin Clark, Seatle Police Department
  • Captain Mike Nolan, SPD Traffic Section
  • DUI enforcement experts
  • Dongho Chang, Chief Traffic Engineer from the Seattle Department of Transportation
  • Peter Hahn, The Director of Transportation 
  • City Attorney’s Office law department on prosecutorial side of DUIs.
  • Mayor’s office
  • Rebecca Deehr, Mayor’s Office lead, on their Road Safety campaign and new school road safety initiative
  • Gina Iandola, Homestreet Bank’s Wedgwood Branch Manager, accepting funds for victims
  • Beth Goldberg, City Budget Director
  • Beth Hester, Director of Public Affairs and Management
  • Rebecca Deehr, Mayor’s Office lead on their Road Safety campaign and on the new school road safety initiative


  • The meeting will take place in the gymnasium of the Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center (6535 Ravenna Avenue NE) from 7-9 PM.
