Families who live outside the School boundaries are invited as well, as the school is looking for more student to increase enrollment.
The school website says:
Do you have friends or neighbors who live outside of the Laurelhurst assignment boundaries, but would like to attend Laurelhurst Elementary? If so, please encourage them to attend our Information Night! This is a chance hear from the Principal, and to have your questions answered.
This is also a good time for working parents/spouses to get a peek at the school or ask any final questions, whether you attended a tour or not. No reservations necessary.
Families who reside outside our boundaries can still request Laurelhurst through the SPS Open Enrollment process through Friday, March 8th.
Where many area elementary schools are over capacity, Laurelhurst has experienced declining en-rollment under current boundaries models, and welcomes families to request our school for the 2013-14 school year!
