New Teen Program Starts Today At Laurelhurst Community Center

A new teen program is starting at the Community Center on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:30-8pm for 12-17 year olds.

The information Cara, Recreation Coordinator, sent us says:


Come check out our first session today and give us suggestions on what you would like your Teen Program to look like!

The program will focus on life skills and educational success. The program will place a strong emphasis on job readiness, interview skills, and employment sustainability.

Some of the sessions will focus on:
  • Computer skills/tutoring
  • Food Handlers Card
  • First Aid/CPR Classes
  • Babysitting Certification
  • Culinary Arts Courses
  • Social Events and Field Trips
  • Budget and Savings Classes
  • Job Readiness/Resume Building
  • Service Learning and Community Service Hours
