We received this interesting email from a family who lives on the north end of Laurelhurst:
We live in the neighborhood and my sons and I have decided to pick up trash once a week while walking our dog. They are both under ten years old.
It's a small gesture but one I think teaches them many valuable lessons. This is a photo of what we found during our first outing. YIKES!
Just wanted to share this with the neighborhood in hopes that maybe there can be some discussion around it.
