244 Foot Tall Crane At Hospital Construction Site To Be Dismantled And Removed
The large 244 foot tall crane at the Children's Hospital construction site is going to be dismantled today and tomorrow.
A mobile crane is arriving today to help with taking down the electric crane, which is able to lift up to 40,000 pounds and was set in place in May of last year and is now no longer needed.
A crew worked this past Saturday to complete work on the glass fins so that the various lifts as well as the tower crane were on schedule for removal today and tomorrow.
Next the crew will start preparing the ground below for parking lots and other surface features.
