January Laurelhurst Real Estate Summary

Thanks to Kim Dales for providing us with this neighborhood real estate activity monthly report:



January saw a slow start in Laurelhurst, which is very typical for this time of year not to mention our January snowstorm, which slowed both the real estate market down and and everything in general!

As we enter 2012 seller's who are considering listing their homes have quite a few ready and willing buyers who will be rewarded with exceptionally low interest rates.

My prediction for 2012 is a slow recovery, no double-digit increases, but ready and willing buyers who want to purchase while interest rates are so attractive. Historically, agents and seller's wait until late February to early March to list their homes. My opinion is, if you are ready to list don't wait. The supply is low and the demand is high, the perfect recipe for selling your home.
