On-Line Bidding Starts Today For Annual Laurelhurst Elementary School Auction

Laurelhurst Elementary School is holding its annual auction on Friday, March 11th, at the Mountaineers Club at Magnuson Park.

This year it is a Western themed event, and one of the coordinators told us "it promises to provide a roaring good time for all in attendance. It is the school's largest fundraising effort and its success is vital to many programs and educational opportunites for the students."

Today an eBay-style Online Auction starts and it will end on Tuesday, March 8th at 10pm.  It is open to all friends, neighbors and family.

"The public is invited and encouraged to join the fun to bid on, and scoop up, some great deals – the more, the merrier!" the communications coordinator told us.

There will be over 240 items sold exclusively in the Online Auction, sixty percent of this year’s silent auction inventory. Items include weeklong luxury accommodations in Cabo San Lucas, a stay in Whistler BC, numerous new Wii and Xbox games, fine wines, gift certificates to neighborhood businesses, such as Pro Robics, Laser Summer Camp, Amanda's Touch of Color, Jak's and many more throughout the City and beyond. .

One-hundred percent of auction proceeds are reinvested into Laurelhurst Elementary School.

Go here to take a look at all the items and to register and here to bid.
