Fire Station 38 Open House Saturday For Neighbor Appreciation Day and New Station Open House March 12th

Tomorrow is the17th Annual Neighbor Appreciation Day sponsored by the Department of Neighborhoods.

"It's the day when we reach out, create new bonds, and express thanks to those who live or work around us," the City website says. Here is a complete list of events.

To celebrate the occasion, Seattle Fire Stations will be open to the public for tours and fire equipment displays from 11– 2pm. It's a great chance to stop by for a visit and a chance to meet the firefighters in your neighborhood.

Station 38 (5503 33rd Avenue NE), serving Laurelhurst, and surrounding neighborhoods, will also be open and welcoming visitors from 11-2pm.

And mark your calendars for March 12th from 11-2pm for the the open house and grand opening of the brand new Fire Station 38 across from Metropolitan Market.  The station broke ground in September of 2009.
