December Real Estate Activity Summary
Thanks to Kim Dales for providing us with this neighbor real estate activity monthly summary:
December was very quiet in our neighborhood for both home sales and listings. 3 new listings, one of which went pending and 4 sold with a huge price range of $217,000 on the corner of Sand Point Way and NE 40th (a condo), to a beautiful home for $2,985,000 on Webster Point.
Recapping 2010 in Laurelhurst we actually had a very strong year with a total of 58 homes sold ranging from $138,000 to
$5,400,000 with an average price of $1,131,879 and a median price of $872,500.
In comparing Laurelhurst with King County average cumulative days on market Laurelhurst's average days on market were 59 vs l04 days for King County. The average sales price in King county was $463,000 vs $1,131,800 in Laurelhurst.
The average sales price in 2009 in Laurelhurst was $864,000 vs $1,131,800 in 2010 resulting in a 24% increase from 2009! This increase can be contributed in part to an improving market, and the fact that 7 homes over $2,000,000 were sold in 2010.
