North Seattle Baseball Association Try-Outs on Sunday

Rich, one of the coaches from the North Seattle Baseball Association, sent us email to get the word out to neighborhood kids and parents about upcoming baseball tryouts for 13 year olds.

"We would like to reach out beyond the current players to make this opportunity known to other kids who may benefit," he said.

Try-outs are this Sunday from 2 to 4pm at Whitman Middle School.  Another try-out was held on August 22nd. Players are asked to meet at the turf fields located behind the school at 92nd & 15th Avenue NW and to arrive 15 minutes early to warm up.

Rich says "We want to be efficient with our time and give all players ample opportunity to showcase their skills."

Results from the tryouts will be announced by e-mail on September 12.

Rich says that the competitive Pony Olympic team will compete at the highest level with other teams in the region through play in Pony league games and summer tournaments.  Practices will be once a week starting in November, and the number will gradually increase to two and then possibly three per week as the baseball season approaches.

North Seattle Baseball is a youth baseball league serving North Seattle families. The website says they are a certified non-profit all-volunteer organization run by parents and other volunteers "who want to positively influence children in our community through baseball."
