NE 45th Street Viaduct Re-Opens on Friday at 10am with Celebration

In case you haven't heard, the NE 45th Street viaduct is set to open on Friday at 10am.

And the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) invites everyone to the re-opening celebration to be held  from 8:45 to 10am at the top of the hill near 22nd Avenue NE & NE 45th Street.
You'll be able to hear from the project team and city staff who helped bringed about this project.

And to "shake hands with the contractor who completed the project on schedule and in time for the first home Husky football game!" the SDOT email says.

Last week SDOT completed the new cement concrete roadway surface that caps the new west approach.  And the outside barrier walls have also been installed.

And this week, street lighting, lane strippings and pedestrian markings as well as re-planting around the viaduct is in process.

Here are some previous posts we have done on the project.

For more information go to the SDOT website.
