Wine Tasting Event in Laurelhurst This Saturday Evening

This Saturday night, Wu Hsing Tao School at the Talaris World Campus, is holding its 2nd Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser right here in Laurelhurst and the community is invited.

The invitation says:

"Join us for a guided evening of wine tasting in an elegant, fun and interactive atmosphere!

Come learn to use your senses to taste and enjoy wine. We will celebrate the fine wines of the Loire Valley of France. The Loire River is the longest in France, stretching some 630 miles from Central France to the Atlantic. The land of royal chateaux, the Loire Valley is home to some of the most fabled wine areas of France: Vouvray, Muscadet, Chinon, Sancerre, and Anjou.

What makes the wines special? The Valley is capable of growing a wide variety of grapes: sauvignon blanc, cabernet franc, chenin blanc, melon de bourgogne, malbec, and gamay. These splendid and unusual wines range from bone dry to ultra-sweet to sparkling.

We'll taste a variety of wines which represent the bounty of the Loire, and we'll throw in some wonderful food to complement the wines. We'll have you saying, 'Viva la France!' by the end of the night!"

Doors open at 6:30pm with the tasting starting at 7pm. Suggested donation is $40.
You can RSVP by calling 206-324-7188 or sending email to school@wuhsing.org

"This event supports Wu Hsing Tao School of Acupuncture and its ongoing efforts to provide high quality education and holistic health care for the public," their website says.
