Family Movie Night Tomorrow at the Community Center and Other Center News


Tomorrow night, take the family to see Disney's movie, UP, at 6:15 at the Community Center.

And it's only $2 pe person. Popcorn and drinks will be available.

Registration for a variety of summer camps- Mad science, Pottery Specialty, On-the-Lawn, Li’l Tykes, Teens Teach, Create and Give and Tennis is underway now.

And this is the last Saturday the Community Center will be open until after Labor Day in September.

The Community Center will also be closed next Friday, May 28th, as part of the 2010 furlough plan. There will be no furlough closures in June, July or August.

Also if you have ideas or suggestions for Fall classes or would like to teach a class, contact the Community Center staff at 684-7529 or laurelhurstcc@seattle.gov.

Indoor Playland

Wednesdays 11a.m.-2 p.m.
$2 drop-in

Get out of the weather! Come on in to play on inflatables, balls, tunnels, and more while staying warm and dry. Lots of toys to keep the little ones happy. Parental supervision required.

Drop-in Volleyball
Thursday 7-9 p.m.
$2 drop-in per person

Cooking from Around the World Program for Teens
Wednesdays 5 p.m. -6:00 p.m
Ages: 12 years old-18 .

Learn about different cooking techniques while preparing different cultural dishes including healthy desserts, main entrees and side dishes.  A recipe book will be compiled at the end of the quarter and each participant will receive one.  Students will also prepare for the Cooking Competitions in July and August.
