Yesterday about 11am, about 20 little boys and girls got dressed up in their fanciest clothes and hats to attend the Laurelhurst Community Center Tea Party.
Also in attendance were lots of stuffed animal bears, dollies and other little friends.
Included in the attendees were three generations of ladies - a woman in her 90s, her daughter and the granddaughter, as well as an Aunt in the family. It was very cool to be in the presence of three generations of families at this event. See the picture below.
The tables were decorated with bright tablecloths, kids were invited to make their own placemats using crayons and stickers. Dena, from the Community Center, read a book about tea parties and talked about etiquette, while the kids kept a watchful, eager eye on the amazing spread of food awaiting them.
When it was time to dig in, kids ate everything from celery with cream cheese and raisins on top, tacos, pigs in a blanket, fruit, variety of appetizers, to about 15 different kinds of cookies. A kiddo heaven!
Great event put on by the Community Center and well attended.
