Winter Grounds Clean-Up Tomorrow at Laurelhurst Elementary


Tomorrow from 8-12 is the annual Winter Grounds Clean-Up at Laurelhurst Elementary School.

Scott Fallis, Co-VP of Building and Grounds along with BJ Moore, told a staffer about the clean-ups, "We do one in the Fall right after school starts and one in the Spring right before the ice cream social) to prepare and beautify the grounds for the upcoming school open houses that take place in early February."

Here is info from the Bear Essentials Newsletter-

"THE Place to Be! We need your help to make our school look great! Families and friends are encouraged to come to school on Saturday morning. Show pride in Laurelhurst Elementary and see your friends at the same time!

Here are some details:

Feel free to show up anytime between 8 AM and 12 PM (even if it is just for 30 minutes).

We have plenty of small (and large) tasks identified so we will know exactly where to put you to work.

The district is bringing some tools, but if you have a favorite tool please bring it

(Make sure to mark them with some tape and/or your name).

We’ll be providing snacks and refreshments.

We’ll be meeting at the entrance on the west side of the school.

Please pass the word to any friends, family or neighbors you know, everyone is welcome!
