Ming-Ming Tung-Edelman, a Laurelhurst parent, long-time pharmacist, owner of Totally Me Artful Wear by MiMi Bug, designer of table manner dishes and consultant on children's manners classes, and author of MiMi Bug's Day with Friends,is having special .
In addition, Ming-Ming, who has been a pharmacist for 17 years, wrote a book called, MiMi Bug's Day with Friends, available in Seattle toy shops, gift stores and local markets. The line’s name comes from her Chinese nickname, “little bug,”
Ming-Ming has been working with local refugees and immigrants, through her project, MiMiGlobe, for the past 1 1/2 years by providing them the tools and skill to make unique fabric inspired jewelry at home in order to have income.
On Wednesday from 6-8pm, the Bhutanese refugees and artisans will be showing their goods at Ten Thousand Villages (6417 Roosevelt Way NE).

Join us at Ten Thousand Villages to learn about MiMiGlobe – a project supporting Bhutanese refugee women in the Seattle area by providing training programs and a marketplace for their beautiful handmade jewelry.
A few of the artisans from Bhutan will be discussing their jewelry-making income generation project. There will be Bhutanese snacks and fair trade coffee and tea.
A portion of the proceeds from all sales at Ten Thousand Villages will go to MiMiGlobe to expand their projects to other refugee communities in Seattle.
