Laurelhurst Mom To Guest Bartend At 50 North Restaurant



Alli Sweet,a Laurelhurst Elementary School mom, will be a guest bartender at 50 North (5001 25th Avenue NE) on Thursday from 6-10pm with 10% of all sales going to the Susan. G. Komen Foundation, in honor of this month being Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Alli invites the neighborhood to "put on your  pink and come have a drink with us." She told us she may even have some of  her original "Alli Sweet jewelry" to purchase with 100% of proceeds to also benefit Susan G. Komen.

Alli says on the restaurant website that her mother passed away from breast cancer on the day that her middle son was born – same hospital, 5 floors apart In memory of her monther, Alli colors her hair pink every October with the hope of finding a cure for breast cancer.

The second Thursday of every month is guest bartender night at 50 North and Kelly with the restaurant says that "some of our wonderful customers and community members are selected to step behind our bar for an evening to serve and entertain the guests for the benefit of their selected charity."
